Price the whole plan, not the first month.

A medicine price and a care price can be different bills. Ask for a written total that shows what is included and what can change.

A dated range for the medicine alone

As of September 26, 2026, cash offers from the makers mostly cost $149–$499 a month for semaglutide products (Ozempic and Wegovy) and tirzepatide products (Mounjaro and Zepbound).

The amount depends on the product and strength; some prices are higher after a late refill, as of September 26, 2026.

These are advertised self-pay offers, not a quote for your care. Some opening prices last only for the first fills.

As checked on September 26, 2026, Wegovy's maker calls four pens or a bottle of thirty tablets a monthly supply. For Ozempic pens, it means one box containing one pen. The maker of Mounjaro and Zepbound uses twenty-eight days for its monthly prices.

Ask how many days the quoted amount will last for your prescribed treatment.

Ask which offer applies to the exact product being discussed and what the later price will be.

Keep each charge on its own line

Some online plans charge a membership fee apart from the medicine, as checked on September 26, 2026.

Ask about the visit fee, an ongoing care fee, the medicine, any tests and delivery. Put the answer next to each item.

If a test is proposed, ask whether its fee includes collecting the sample and discussing the result. Ask for each charge in writing, even when the service offers one package price.

Check the end date on an offer

Many introductory cash offers and savings cards carry a December 31, 2026 end date, as of September 26, 2026.

Recheck prices at that end date; it cannot tell you the terms of a future offer.

Ask what happens if treatment changes, a refill is late or you leave the service. Keep the cancellation and refund terms with the quote.

Ask what happens to insurance spending

As of September 26, 2026, paying the maker directly without insurance does not count toward your deductible or out-of-pocket limit.

Before choosing a payment route, ask the plan what it covers and the service what it will charge. Keep the answers apart.
